Once again, a long period has passed since my last post. I have been very busy on several fronts. From trying to launch a new business; to finding other ways to support the development of safety-critical development. Read on to see what I’ve come up with…

It has been difficult to put on hold the many articles I have started for this site; and I apologize to those of you who keep looking for the new stuff. I apologize even more for the shameless plug that follows.

I have taken the plunge and hung out my shingle for the world. You can find my professional services firm, SafeCode, LLC online at <http://www.safecode.biz>. While I look forward to continuing to do full-lifecycle software and firmware development through this business; I am also emphasizing tool and process support. Far too often, organizations bring tools into their folds and spend weeks or months trying to figure out how to best apply them. My practice can offer training and create custom profiles for a number of tools. SafeCode, LLC has also made arrangements that allow us to resell many development tools; which we expect will allow us to cut special deals for our clients on licensing costs for many of the commonly needed applications.

I have also recently begun hosting The Safety-Critical Professionals’ Network; a multi-industry, multi-disciplinary professional information exchange for those who work in safety-critical markets. If this sounds like you, an invitation link can be found under the “badge” elsewhere on this page. The concept of the network is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and techniques for safer systems development across markets, disciplines, and international borders.

Although I am still creating materials for SafeCode, I hope I can soon resume regular postings on this site. Stay tuned.
